THE GRAND The grand has a rambling, “old Havana” feel, rather nods to French Riviera and belle époque, with a view of the ocean from the terrace, by day it’s the sandbar and serve great lunch dishes
THE GRAND- BEACH++ The only restaurant in Cape Town, you can eat and drink with your feet in the sand. An unbelievable setting, bohemian feel, relaxed café food, a must do, even if it’s just for a drink, the service can be erratic so be prepared to be patient
THE TEST KITCHEN++ Luke Dale Roberts from La Colombe opened his own restaurant- in the biscuit mill, Woodstock. Fully booked every night, tasting menu that is superb- making it undoubtedly the best restaurant in Cape Town

GRAFF* The setting is out of this world, food varies from good to mediocre, but very expensive, you are paying for a spectacular view over the valley
TERROIR* Good consistent food one of SA top restaurants, very popular and great to sit on the terrace on a summers day
TOKARA* Fusion, fabulous views of Stellenbosch food can be a little fussy, but the deli is cool and worth a visit
WATERKLOOF*++ Worth a visit just to witness fabulous modernist architecture, but the food is superb and the wines delicious
